EDINBURG, Texas (Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2021) – The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros announced today a new three-year partnership with global sports brand PUMA, which will create unique styles that will connect the club with the entire Rio Grande Valley.
“As we evolve into the next generation of the RGV FC Toros, or ‘Toros 2.0’ as some of us have dubbed it, we felt it was necessary to align ourselves with a brand that represents what we are trying to do. PUMA always brings ‘new, better, different & meaningful innovation’ to the apparel marketplace,” said Toros President Ron Patel. “We are trying to bring that same kind of innovation to professional sports and community here in the Rio Grande Valley. We felt that PUMA best aligns with our mission and our forward-thinking mentality as we grow, connect and unite our community through the beautiful game.”
The Toros will wear PUMA kits on the pitch during the 2021 season that will be key to represent the new era. RGV FC will join other USL Championship teams such as Indy Eleven and New Mexico United as they become an official PUMA partner.
